GXN Conference Networking & Social Activities
Dear Member,
In my last Insight I highlighted the items at the heart of the Conference Programme running on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October. In today’s Insight I wanted to preview some of the networking opportunities and social activities planned for our 5th anniversary in Kitzbuehel.
Here are some of the spotlight networking & social events surrounding the Golf Tournament:
- A relaxed welcome reception from 19:00 with cocktails, light bites and conversation takes place on Tuesday 6. The GXN Club Cocktail Evening in the Grand Tirolia’s JazzClub is the perfect way to settle in. Relax in this informal atmosphere – no agenda, just people to meet, catch up, and connect with. The Grand Tirolia’s bar and terraces make for a wonderful setting as the evening light fades over the Alps.
- The GXN Golf Tournament is scheduled for Wednesday 7th at Golf Eichenheim, located directly adjacent to the hotel. The GXN Golf Tournament will be played as Texas Scramble. The schedule will be provided closer to the event and will culminate in the Golf Award Ceremony and Dinner on Wednesday evening.
- The highlight of the week, on Thursday 8th, is a traditional Tyrolean mountain hut evening. A Hüttenabend — literally ‘hut evening’ — is as Tyrolean as it gets. Think rustic wooden interiors, open fires, hearty food, Schnapps and spontaneous singing. It is an experience that brings people together in a way that no conference dinner in a hotel ballroom ever could. Dress warmly and come ready to enjoy yourself. Good food, live music and the warmth of Alpine hospitality in a spectacular setting.
Alongside networking we have organized other social activities around the conference:
- On Wednesday 7th there is a parallel golf programme providing a guided golf taster session for non-golfers, led by PGA professionals on site. For those preferring nature over golf, we are providing an outdoor experience with a guided walk or outdoor activity in the surrounding Tyrolean Alps.
- On Wednesday all participants, golfers and non-golfers are invited to gather at the Gasthaus Eichenheim for lunch on Golf Eichenheim’s restaurant sun terrace.
- Across the conference dates there is time to explore Kitzbuehel, the hotel spa, or simply relax around the hotel. We highly recommend a walk around Kitzbuehel old town, particularly as October in Kitzbuehel is exceptional – it’s quieter than summer, beautifully lit and fully alive with the pleasures of the Tyrolean autumn. Perfect for a gentle stroll with colleagues, peers and friends.
- Thursday 8 at 16:00 is the GXN 5th Anniversary Group Photo followed by a ‘Speed Dating and Group Networking Session’ from 16:15 to 18:00.
